Open My Eyes That I May See

Have you ever thought about how beautiful some of our most common birds are?  Blue jays.  Gold finches.   Ruby throated hummingbirds.  Cardinals. 

These are all birds that are absolutely drenched in color, deep and rich and bold.

I think the only thing that keeps us from fully appreciating the splendor that is right before our eyes is how familiar it is.

I think it is that way with people too.
