Season's First

Usually we make a priority out of eating dinner together in the Merola household, but tonight was an exception.   Everyone was on their own schedule, so I just grabbed a quick dinner on my own.

Since I was the only one eating at the moment, I didn't sit at the dining room table, but in a comfortable chair by the window.  Just outside the window is the hummingbird feeder I hung a couple days ago after Linda  saw a hummingbird.

While I was eating, a female hummer came and used the feeder.  And then a few minutes later, just as I was finishing my meal, a male with a ruby red throat  so deep it was almost black came to the feeder as well.

It's good to see them again!
