I'm all over live and let live on women in ministry. While I decided at a fairly young age that my own interpretation of scripture didn't allow for women as senior pastors (and I haven't changed my opinion), I now attend a church with husband and wife as co-pastors, and I have known many women whose gifts are strongly in the preaching, shepherding, prophecy and teaching areas.
However, I have questions about one thing in Mr. Carter's article: what women were priests in the early church? I know there were women as leaders of local churches in biblical times (Priscila, for example), but who are these women priests he mentions? I'd love to have seen something here so I could look into his points and make my own decision, rather than just reacting to what he says.
Thanks for posting, Rob!

Women leaders, yes. Women priests and bishops, I'd love to see the references. I go along with Mindy (above) on women not serving as senior pastors. I don't want my opinions here to upset folks, as I do know, and greatly respect, several female clergy.
