So, here's the thing. When I said that even if we hadn't caught a single fish, seeing whales up close and personal would have made the trip worth it, well... that statement was probably MOSTLY true. Yes, there are other reasons for venturing forth on a fishing trip, and some of those reasons are indeed important. But underneath it all the reason a fisherman goes fishing is to... catch fish!
And I'm glad to say: we did.
One of our guys brought along his ten weight fly rod, just for the fun of it. No sooner did he get the fly in the water than he was hooked up. That moment right there may not be what fishing is ALL about, but it sure is a big part of it!
