I took (most) the day off today to go fishing. It was a great day; great guys, great weather, and great fishing. While we didn't catch as many fish as we might have hoped (a total of 13, I think), what we lacked in quantity we made up in quality.
In other words, most all our fish were big. The fish to the right, for instance, went 45 inches and almost 40 pounds. Two other fish were citation fish over 40 inches as well. My biggest fish, pictured here, was 37 inches, maybe 18 pounds, and most our other fish were in that size range.
All were returned to the water to swim another day. Oh, and in case you were wondering, these are striped bass (so named for obvious reasons) or "rockfish".
Those fish are HUGE!!!
I am glad you had some down time, you deserve it.

Aren't digital cameras great? Ten years ago, you'd never be able to prove that you'd caught such great fish!

In the future if you loose power throw in some polytilfer discs to remove ammonia nitrate and nitrate and fish waste. they dont need to be put in the filter just drop the disks into the tank well done on keeping as many fish as you did alive
